Welcome to Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation.
The mission of Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation (LIAF) is to help improve the quality of life for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders, and their caregivers.
For 25 years, LIAF has been providing supportive community-based services to Alzheimer’s families on Long Island. LIAF takes considerable pride in its pioneering role in the development of cutting edge services that foster the independence, dignity, well-being and safety of individuals with Alzheimer’s, thus aiding in the prevention of premature nursing home placement. LIAF’s programs offer help and hope for families grappling with Alzheimer’s disease.
Please join us for National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month as we inaugurate a new tradition at LIAF: Our Candle Lighting Tribute. The Candle Lighting Tribute is an opportunity to publicly remember those who have been lost to Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders, and to honor and support those living with the disease. Here, too, we can honor the efforts of those currently caring for a loved one with the disease, or who have in the past provided loving care and support. We will keep your loved ones' names and photos in this prominent position on our website for all to view.
